Dr. Jill A. Christopher is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and owner of Christopher and Associates Evaluation and Counseling Center, Inc. in Seymour, Indiana specializing in psychological evaluations for children, adolescents and adults. She also is a co-founder of Foundations Dyslexia & Learning Centers and director of the Seymour Center.
Dr. Christopher’s career has been dedicated to the evaluation and diagnosis of individuals with developmental, learning, behavioral, emotional and autism spectrum disorders. In addition, she is a trained dyslexia screener and received training from Susan Barton, international dyslexia expert and creator of the Barton Reading & Spelling System for the diagnosis and treatment of dyslexia.
Dr. Christopher received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Ball State University and her master’s degree and doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Since that time, she has worked with diverse populations and provided diagnostic services in medical, academic and private practice settings working with children with behavioral, emotional and developmental disorders. She conducts psychological evaluations for children, adolescents and adults. Her areas of interest include: ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, developmental delay, learning disorders, behavior problems, abuse issues and emotional disorders. At the Weisskopf Center, she was an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics for the University of Louisville where she was part of a multi-disciplinary team that evaluated children with various genetic, behavioral, emotional and autism spectrum disorders. In 2001 she founded Christopher and Associates Evaluation and Counseling Center, an outpatient mental health group practice in Seymour.
She is a member of the American Psychological Association and Indiana Psychological Association and has served on the committee for the support of psychologists in private practice. Dr. Christopher also serves on her local Big Brothers Big Sisters advisory council. She resides in Seymour and enjoys traveling, attending sporting events, and spending time with her husband and two children.
